Combolution

We open the new exhibition year with the first solo show by Combolution, the artistic alias of Vincent William. Drawing on graffiti, travel and imagination, he brings together realism, elegant calligraphy, raw graffiti and expressive movement in a vibrant visual language.
Five powerful bird portraits form the heart of the exhibition, each marking a significant place and moment in the artist’s development. In contrast, skull reliefs made from paint remnants of Arnhem’s former Hall of Fame reflect on the disappearance of an artistic gathering place. Together, the works explore movement, memory and the fleeting presence of graffiti in the city.

Meet the artist

Combolution (est. 2017) is het pseudoniem van de Arnhemse kunstenaar Vincent William (1994, Ede). COMBO maakt grote muurschilderingen in de openbare ruimte en zet zich in voor de lokale graffiti community; hij organiseert jaarlijks jams en festivals, opende twee Hall Of Fame locaties in de omgeving, cureerde de historische street art route Waalpaintings in Nijmegen en richtte The Graffiti Academy op in Ede. In 2024 werd Vincent verkozen tot Straatcurator van Arnhem waar hij werkte aan een sterkere positie van street art in de stad. Combolution focust zich nu op het schilderen van muren in binnen- en buitenland. Zijn werk is te vinden in verschillende steden in Europa, Zuid-Amerika en Azië.
